Please read these terms before using the website. By accessing or continuing to use it, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Website Terms of Use.
01Acceptance of these terms
If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the website. These terms apply only to website use. Consulting engagements and Growth Circle memberships are governed by separate proposals, engagement letters or the Growth Circle Membership Terms.
02Website operator
This website is operated by Beacon Africa Tourism Consultancy (“Beacon Africa”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a South African tourism strategy, coaching and advisory business.
Email: info@beaconafricatourism.com
Physical address: 14 Chrysler Street, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191, South Africa
The business's confirmed legal status, registration number, office bearers and telephone number should be inserted here where applicable before these terms are approved as final.
03Purpose of the website
The website provides information about Beacon Africa, Sonto Ndlovu, tourism consulting and advisory services, the Beacon Africa Growth Circle, speaking engagements, insights and ways to contact us. Website content is provided for general information and business-development purposes.
Displaying a service, membership tier or opportunity does not oblige Beacon Africa to accept an engagement or application. A binding service relationship arises only when the applicable onboarding, payment, proposal or written agreement requirements have been completed.
04No professional advice
Website articles, resources and general guidance do not constitute legal, tax, accounting, investment or other regulated professional advice. Tourism strategy and business information must be considered in light of your own facts, market and professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions made using general website content.
05Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, Beacon Africa owns or is authorised to use the website's design, branding, text, graphics, photographs, downloads, frameworks, course or coaching materials and other content. This content is protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
You may view, download or print reasonable extracts for personal, internal and non-commercial use, provided attribution and proprietary notices remain intact. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, adapt, scrape, distribute, frame or commercially exploit website content without prior written permission. Linking to a public page in a fair and non-misleading manner is permitted.
06Acceptable use
You must not use the website to:
- Break any applicable law or infringe another person's rights.
- Transmit malicious code, interfere with security, probe vulnerabilities or disrupt website operation.
- Misrepresent your identity, submit fraudulent information or impersonate another person.
- Harvest personal information, send unsolicited communications or use automated systems in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load.
- Copy or exploit Beacon Africa's content, brand or intellectual property unlawfully.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, users or our rights.
07Enquiries and user submissions
You confirm that information submitted through forms or email is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you are entitled to provide it, and that it does not infringe another person's rights. Submitting an enquiry does not itself create a confidential advisory relationship or guarantee acceptance, availability or a particular outcome.
We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice. Do not submit passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information through general enquiry forms.
08Third-party websites and services
The website may connect to external platforms such as payment, scheduling, analytics, map, media or social-network services. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not necessarily imply endorsement, control or responsibility for the external service.
Payments may be processed by Paystack or another stated provider. Beacon Africa does not intend to receive or store complete payment-card credentials through its website.
09Availability and security
We take reasonable steps to operate and protect the website, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure access. We may suspend, change, withdraw or restrict all or part of the website for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. You are responsible for using appropriate device, browser and network security.
10Accuracy and warranties
We aim to keep information useful and current, but tourism conditions, prices, programmes, availability, laws and third-party information can change. To the extent permitted by law, the website and general content are supplied on an “as available” basis without warranties that are not expressly stated. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law.
11Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Beacon Africa will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general website content, inability to access the website, malicious third-party activity or an external service outside our reasonable control.
Any limitation applies only to the extent it is lawful, fair and enforceable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence or any liability or consumer right that South African law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
12Privacy and cookies
Use of personal information is described in our Privacy Notice. Information about cookies and similar technologies appears in our Cookie Notice. These documents form part of the website's legal information.
13Electronic communications
When you communicate with us electronically, you consent to receiving relevant communications electronically, subject to your marketing choices and applicable law. An automated acknowledgement confirms technical receipt only and does not constitute acceptance of an engagement, membership or transaction unless expressly stated.
Formal notices to Beacon Africa should be sent to the contact details below and clearly identified as a legal notice. We may request confirmation of identity or authority.
14Governing law and disputes
These terms and website use are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The parties should first attempt to resolve a dispute in good faith through written communication. Subject to any mandatory consumer forum or statutory remedy, South African courts with appropriate jurisdiction may determine unresolved disputes.
15Changes and severability
We may update these terms when the website, services or law changes. The revised version applies from the effective date displayed above. If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be treated as modified or removed only to the minimum extent required, without affecting the remaining provisions.
16Contact and legal notices
Questions about these terms or formal notices may be sent to info@beaconafricatourism.com or delivered to 14 Chrysler Street, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191, South Africa. General enquiries can be submitted through the Contact page.
