The Growth Circle is a relationship built on clarity, preparation and consistent action. These terms explain what members and Beacon Africa can expect from that relationship.
01Your membership agreement
These terms form an agreement between Beacon Africa Tourism Consultancy (“Beacon Africa”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and the individual or organisation purchasing a Growth Circle membership (“member”, “you” or “your”). By completing payment or activating a membership, you accept these terms together with the applicable checkout information and our Privacy Notice.
If an agreed written proposal or specific arrangement conflicts with these general terms, the specifically agreed written provision will apply to that extent.
02Eligibility and authority
Membership is intended for adult tourism entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals and leaders. If purchasing for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to commit that organisation and identify the primary participating member. Beacon Africa may assess fit before or shortly after activation to protect the quality and purpose of the Circle.
03Membership tiers and inclusions
Your benefits depend on the tier selected and paid for. The current structure is:
| Benefit | Starter | Growth | Elite |
|---|---|---|---|
| One 60-minute coaching session monthly | Included | Included | Included |
| Four weekly advisory notes | Included | Included | Included |
| Member discounts and community access | Included | Included | Included |
| Priority WhatsApp access | Not included | Included | Included |
| Monthly mini-audit | Not included | Included | Included |
| Quarterly 90-minute strategy sprint | Not included | Not included | Included |
Benefits are personal to the member or agreed participating organisation and may not be resold, transferred or shared publicly. Reasonable operational adjustments may be made without removing the essential value of the paid tier.
04Joining and onboarding
After successful payment, Beacon Africa will provide onboarding information, normally including an intake process and session-scheduling instructions. The member must provide accurate information reasonably required to understand the business, role, goals and priority challenge. Membership benefits begin from the activation or welcome date communicated by Beacon Africa.
05Payments and billing
Membership fees are billed monthly in South African Rand through Paystack or another payment method stated at checkout. You authorise the payment provider to process the initial and recurring amounts associated with your selected tier until cancellation takes effect.
- You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method and accurate billing information.
- Bank, currency-conversion, data or payment-provider charges imposed by third parties remain your responsibility.
- Beacon Africa does not intend to receive or store complete payment-card credentials.
- If a payment fails, we may notify you and allow a reasonable opportunity to correct it before benefits are paused.
06Monthly renewal and cancellation
Growth Circle memberships operate as monthly subscriptions and continue month to month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time without a cancellation penalty or lock-in fee. Beacon Africa asks for 30 days' notice as a courtesy so that sessions and administration can be concluded properly.
To cancel, email info@beaconafricatourism.com with the member name, tier and a clear cancellation request. Cancellation timing and any final billing must always comply with applicable consumer law. Beacon Africa will confirm the effective date in writing.
07Price and tier changes
You may request an upgrade or downgrade, subject to availability and confirmation of the effective date and revised fee. Beacon Africa may change future pricing or tier benefits by giving reasonable advance notice. A material change will not be applied retrospectively to an amount already paid. Any founding-member or individually agreed arrangement must be recorded in writing.
08Coaching sessions and scheduling
Sessions are held virtually unless otherwise agreed. Members set the agenda and are responsible for booking, preparing for and attending sessions using the process communicated during onboarding.
If either party needs to reschedule, reasonable notice should be given and a replacement time arranged in good faith, subject to availability. The detailed treatment of missed sessions, late arrivals, unused monthly sessions and carry-overs must be confirmed in the onboarding policy; no stricter forfeiture rule is created by this draft.
09WhatsApp access, audits and other benefits
Priority WhatsApp access is designed for reasonable short strategic questions between sessions and is not a 24-hour emergency or unlimited consulting service. Response times depend on working hours, travel and availability. Mini-audits and strategy sprints must be scheduled and scoped reasonably. Advisory notes, community activities, masterclasses or discounts may follow a changing editorial and events calendar.
10Member responsibilities and conduct
Members agree to participate respectfully, prepare honestly, protect other members' confidentiality, use advice responsibly and avoid conduct that is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, disruptive or harmful to the Circle. You remain responsible for your business decisions, implementation, regulatory compliance and professional advice.
11Confidentiality and privacy
Beacon Africa will treat non-public business information shared during coaching as confidential and use it only to provide and administer the service, except where disclosure is authorised, required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent serious harm. Members must similarly protect confidential information relating to Beacon Africa and other members.
Personal information is processed as described in the Privacy Notice. Group or community spaces are not appropriate for trade secrets, passwords, payment data or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
12Intellectual property and materials
Beacon Africa retains ownership of its frameworks, notes, templates, recordings, presentation materials, methods and branding. A member receives a limited, non-transferable licence to use materials supplied to them internally for their own professional or business purposes. Materials may not be sold, published, recorded, copied at scale, used to train competing products or shared outside the participating organisation without written permission.
A member retains ownership of their pre-existing business information and materials.
13Nature of strategic coaching
The Growth Circle provides strategic business coaching, perspective and accountability—not legal, tax, accounting, medical, investment or regulated financial advice. Results depend on the member's circumstances, decisions, effort, market and implementation. Beacon Africa does not promise a particular level of revenue, bookings, funding, promotion, employment or business outcome.
14Suspension or termination
Beacon Africa may pause benefits while an overdue payment is being resolved. We may terminate a membership for material breach, non-payment, unlawful or abusive conduct, misuse of confidential information or intellectual property, or behaviour that seriously undermines the safety or purpose of the Circle. Except where immediate action is reasonably necessary, we will provide notice and a fair opportunity to address a remediable issue.
15Refunds and consumer rights
Because membership benefits and access are provided during each billing period, fees already paid are generally allocated to that period. Any refund, credit or pro-rata adjustment will be assessed according to the circumstances, the service actually supplied, the cancellation date and applicable South African law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act or another applicable law.
16Service availability and events beyond control
Beacon Africa may make reasonable schedule or delivery adjustments because of travel, illness, connectivity failure, platform outages, public emergencies or other circumstances beyond reasonable control. The parties will work in good faith to reschedule materially affected one-to-one benefits or agree another reasonable solution.
17Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Beacon Africa is not liable for indirect, consequential or speculative loss arising from a member's independent business decisions or factors outside our reasonable control. Any limitation must be interpreted fairly and does not exclude liability for fraud, gross negligence or rights that South African law does not permit us to exclude.
18Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The parties will first try to resolve concerns through good-faith written discussion. This does not prevent a member from using any mandatory consumer forum, regulator or statutory remedy available to them. Unresolved matters may be referred to a South African court with appropriate jurisdiction.
19Changes to these terms
Beacon Africa may update these terms to reflect service, operational or legal changes. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated with reasonable notice and will apply prospectively. Continuing the membership after the stated effective date constitutes acceptance, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
